An optometrist is a primary care doctor of the eye. These doctors collaborate with your primary care doctor, your child’s pediatrician, or your specialists to help provide primary care of the eye. If you have vision issues, eye pain, redness, or other eye specific problems, you have found the right kind of doctor.
Dr. Zak joined Rosemore Eye Care in 2012 after graduating with his OD degree from Southern College of Optometry earlier that year. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2008 from the Washington University in St. Louis. He completed clinical rotations at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL. He continued his training in Plano, TX, completing an externship with Dr. Charles Shidlofsky, an expert in neurodevelopmental optometry. As a result of these experiences, Dr. Zak is comfortable examining children as young as 6 months old as well as children on the autism spectrum.
Dr. Zak takes pride in taking care of the whole family from children to parents to grandparents and even great-grandparents. In his time out of the office, Dr. Zak enjoys spending time with his wife, playing tennis and hockey, watching sports, and imagining he has his own travel show.
